Thank you for everyone that read my last post on our big adventure, and reached out in celebration or with New York tips. We're very excited and I've got many future posts planned on next steps. In the meantime, I wanted to share an update on a past design project that has been a long time in the making. We visited my in-laws this past weekend and their bunk bed room, that I designed last year, was ready for new pictures!
The last time I shared photos of this room was last September, before we found a dresser and curtains, and before I built a teepee, chalkboard and toy box. The room has come a long way since then!
My mother-in-law and I have been collecting toys and books from local thrift stores over the past few months for the rolling toy box and bunk bed built-in shelving. I'd still like to add a colorful pendant to the teepee and maybe some new throw pillows in the future, but overall, I'm really happy with how this room turned out. My nephew isn't quite old enough to sleep in it by himself yet, but I hope he (and a younger sibling or two ... and maybe a cousin) will enjoy it for many years to come.
Please let me know if you have any questions on sources or building projects in the comments.
