A Third Wedding Anniversary

Some days it feels like our wedding was yesterday, and some days I feel like it was forty years ago. Today, it was officially three years ago. Marriage is very hard work, honestly much harder sometimes than I even thought it would be. But I also love being married to my wonderful, funny, kind, handsome husband. Some days we dance in the kitchen while dinner cooks, cuddle on the couch while watching a movie, sing at the top of our lungs in the car together, and some days we drive each other bonkers. That's the reality of marriage. Obviously I know this now, a few years in. I also know that three years ago today, remains the happiest and most wonderful day of my life.

I loved marrying Keith in a tiny west Texas town with just 60 of our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us. The ten months of planning our wedding were probably the most stressful I've experienced to date. I definitely wouldn't go back and live that time over again, but I wish every night that I could go to sleep and relive our entire wedding day. And so today, on this special anniversary, I wanted to share a few personal images so that you too can relive my perfect day.

If you've never been to Marfa, Texas it's certainly worth a visit. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's the first place we ever took a road trip together over five years ago and one of our all-time favorite places. We wanted a small, intimate wedding and getting married in the middle of nowhere certainly guarantees that. I love that we actually got to chat with every guest, dance with our friends and family, eat the food we selected over months of planning, and to this day, actually remember every detail of the entire day. For most, their weddings are a complete whirlwind.

Besides insuring we had a small wedding, and wanting to get married in an unique place we both loved, we also chose Marfa because of the scenery. And if you don't get it, here's the shot from our lovely photographers that pretty much sums up why this was the perfect place for us.

All photos thanks to my favorite photographers, Two Pair Photography. Sometimes I wish I could marry Keith every weekend just to have a million lovely photos from those two. Happy anniversary to my favorite person, best friend, and partner for life. You truly do make every day better.
